The Third Cookham Brownies

What do Brownies do?

At Brownies we do all sorts of fun things. Sometimes we play games, we often make things.... (we always make alot of noise!) We find out about things such as recycling and the environment, we raise money for different charities, we go out walking and picnicing in the summer term. We've been to Legoland, Cadburys World, London, Odds Farm Park and we go bowling.

We do Badges so we often learn something New or do something we have never done before!

Celia says "For Mother's Day we made smelly soap."

Danielle remembers "We made a leaf dish out of green clay and a guitar out of plastic bottles and cardboard boxes. "

"We made fish-shaped needle cases out of felt" says Iona

"I like doing all the fun things we do at Brownies" says newly enrolled Sammie.

Going for hikes

In the summer term we spend as much time as possible outside - going for hikes, studying nature, following treasure trails, doing compass work or just having fun at picnics!

Natasha liked the hike when ... "We had to tiptoe through a field containing a three-day-old kidgoat!"

"The Brownies went on a 3 mile hike and I found unusual flowers and funny houses on the way" says Georgina.

Elisha waxed poetical about the trip to Cadbury's World

Cadbury's World is greater than great
I went there with Brownies when I was eight

All the chocolate made me go dizzy

And all the sugar is very fizzy!
